Fungus

Fungus thrives in salty soils. By using slow release fertilizers in granular form you reduce the risk of fungus growing in your lawn. Proper turf management practices will also help protect your lawn from fungus. We recommend periodic aeration and power dethatching to reduce the thatch layer. Over-seeding with a more disease resistant grass, such as a thin-bladed turf-type fescue has a very positive effect. For those with a more serious problem, Barnds Brothers offers a preventive fungi treatment that suppresses the fungi activity from attacking your lawn. Call 913-897-2340 for more infomation
